This book details how when Congress fails to act as a check, any administration intent on pursuing a pro-fossil policy can change governance rules to permanently entrench oil and gas extraction and reliance in the U.S. and cripple regulatory agencies. The most recent past U.S. administration’s actions violated traditional bipartisan values of economic prudence, environmental stewardship, and re...

.. Everybody should know this: آسیا پیکر آب و گِل است ملت افغان در پیکر دل است از فساد او فساد آسیا از گشاد او گشاد آسیا
You need to educate yourself about Afghanistan and Afghan history, can you tell me why Western so called civilization created divisions in none white countries, you are a typical white man who talks about countries which your country destroyed them for self interest, now you're passing your so called knowledge to others.
Jihad never means fighting but rather STRUGGLE . in Arabic holy war is ( Bitul Muqaddasa ) which never mentioned in the Quran nor in The Hadith
Where is russo-afghan children
When it comes to my people… They are crazy Dont go there Stay home Please 🙏 😂
Alhumdulillah now Afghanistan is more united than it has ever been due to the introduction of Islamic law. A lot of the issues he is mentioning now with ethnic clashes, rivalry and tribalism are disintegrating due to emphasis the government has put on Islam. It is very different.
Data on ethnic groups in Afghanistan is derived from various sources, including historical records, demographic surveys, academic research, and reports from organizations such as the United Nations and the CIA World Factbook. While a comprehensive national census hasn't been conducted in Afghanistan in recent years due to the ongoing conflicts and challenges in the country, estimates of ethnic composition are often based on the best available data and research. These estimates may not always be precise, but they provide a general understanding of the ethnic makeup of the population. CIA World book a year before the US invasion, estimated the Pashtton population around 60-65 percent. Right after the invasion the CIA World book estimated Pashtoon 35%. So Sad.
A lot of this isn’t as accurate. Most afghans are hafiz (memorised the Quran) & the learning of Arabic is encouraged. There is a reason why Persians from the region refitted the ‘religion’ and contributed greatly to Islam. There is also HUGE disputes between the ethnicities with genocides against the hazaras. Resettlements that forced Pashtuns to the north to prevent Uzbeks & Tajiks separating from afg. Taliban is an ethnic nationalist group - not religious, hence why ISIS oppose them
Impressive lecture.
Mr host, just stfu and stop spreading misinformation!
He lacks in-depth information on Afghanistan.
Just WOW 😲
Very helpful. Thank you.
So sad he is completely clueless about Islam.
Pashtuns and tajiks are biggest groups of afghanistan 🇦🇫❤️🇦🇫
Mula omar zindabad❤
You wrote "Isamic" its Islamic, forgot the L. Also I've never, ever heard anyone say "Allah made an error by sending Islam to Arabia and not Afghanistan" this is not true at all. Every Muslim believes it is not possible for Allah to make a mistake or error, it is impossible because He is The Most-Wise, The One free from any and all imperfections and The All-Knowing. Something else that I noticed you said more than once is that Afghans think they're better Muslims than others. This is not true because this kind of pride and arrogance is not allowed in Islam. How can you say that Pakistanis cannot be trusted because they are just converted Muslims? When you become Muslim you become like a newborn baby, with no sin whatsoever, you are purified. The companions of the Prophet Muhammad (Upon him be peace) were reverts. In fact the Caliph 'Umar Ibn Khattab used to be an alcoholic! Every Afghan I've ever met is down to earth and humble so what you say is untrue.
Many of the Afghans have interracial relationship… I think the thought of being Hazara or Tajik or Puschtun is of no importance… I am a mix of Tajik Puschtun mother father and I dont consider myself as Puschtun or Tajik rather Afghan
Perfect, I am from Afghanistan, Professor knows about Afghanistan more than us❤
"Promo sm"
What is Isamic?
Pashtun = LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL 🇮🇱
Tajiks= LOST TRIBES OF TAJKISTAN
Keep that to urself jahil
@@GreaterAfghanistanMovementAwghans = israeli tribes

Just f o and stop spreading misinformation!
As a Muslim and then as an Afghan, I want to point out somethings about this lecture to you that might be kind of late to comment, but I strongly suggest to you, Mr. Thomas Barfield to thoroughly gain knowledge about Islam, which is Quran and the Hadith of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) before using it in lectures when one himself/herself using an evidence does not know its a valid and widely accepted and supported/elaborated on why its a correct hadith or not by the Ullama(Scholars) of Islam; which in this case is the specific hadith you used about non-Muslims at the very end. And also there is a very misconception about Sufism being a different way of Islam; its not actually. There were many sufis who went to fought in wars such as Attar of Nishapur who was martyred by the Mongols and who very much influenced Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi (because he was born in Balkh) (Rumi) on his works. And one last point I want to make is that, no one is perfect and without flaws including me, and not to offend you, I see a gap of knowledge in your understanding of Islam. To know a religion is not focus on ordinary follower but what the sources of the religion which for Islam is Quran and the Sunnah (Hadiths) of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) claims and can it support its argument properly or not. I hope you wellness and guidance in life.
And if you don't have to understand you'll be on your knees, cleaning toilets and cooking for men so stop acting like that's some kind of badge of honor cause they give you a little job to keep you out the way women are really fking ridiculous....
y'all this Professor is something Wow, beautiful i'm hazara from Afghanistan. Hazara +> we support Civilization and Religion ! No War ! No war. we are not (Taliban#Pashton).
Hazaras are barbarian Mongols. Least interesting ethnic group in Afghanistan.
Where are the gujjars???
In India
The pushton are beni Israel
Keep that to urself
I'm not sure what your delivery implies but it made it hard to hear what you have to say. Some of the flippant linguistic approach feels off, and I'm possibly off about your ethnicity but you appear w hite. So expert or not it necessitates respect getting a boost and this... didn't feel like that.....
Again proud of Afghanistan 🎉
I pruod to be a phastoon

The contradiction amongst the Pashtun isn't really a contradiction, they could still be related by simply immigration, we just don't know...
The tajik definition is totally wrong. Tajiks are those who migrated from Tajikistan. These falsely claimed themselves to be pastuns afghan but they are russian decent.
I love this man! Love from a Pashtun 🇦🇫
Pashton is the Father of more ethics in Afghanistan Afghan means Pashto look to History sir 🥱❤
Crazy to see how ten years later we’ve seen how the US and the Taliban have been interconnected. There goes your “that’s nonsense” bullshit.
Mr Barfield you didn't do your homework properly the pashton isn't from that land they're descent of Jewish
Yes its our land no, we are not Jewish.
I’m a Pashtun American and this was very good
*Afghan American
i find pashtuns interesting people i went school with some afghan girls they were beautiful and peaceful
Ali RA was not a Shieya or Sunni he was a relative and companion of prophet Muhammad his children were the grandchildren of prophet Muhammed. The religious divide took place after the death of Hussain RA who was martyred by a power hungry idiot whom drank and misused the religious name
Great talks
Great
80 percent lie 20 percent true. His research is based on 80 percent lies and false information
Alhamdulillah All pashtun are Muslim
Az a Hazara everything he said is true! Our people have faced a lot of problems, even massacres with one former Pashtun king killing 65% of all Hazaras. But at the end of the day, the hazaras are tough and humble people, slowly rising and joining the elite - if not in Afghanistan, then abroad. It should also be said, that i have no hatred against any pashtun, tajik etc., as long as we all see each other as afghans and countrymen. I myself have both very good pashtun and tajiks friends here in Denmark, and we all love eachother and joke around with our differences in our language and some minor differences in our culture;)
I am a Pashtun from Pakistan living in the US, I have never listened to any Western scholar who is (accurately) knowledgeable about Afghanistan tribes and cultural roots in Islam.
Remember that the religious leader of Pashtun is Tajik, Imam Abu Hanifa was Tajik.
Gotta comd here to learn about myself lol
I am Afghan Pashton i proud my Countryman Hazar,Tajik,Uzbek❤
im just building up the cake walk
